Ghana experience includes 2 years in Takoradi as Start-up Operations Area Manager, 1.5 years in Navrongo plant operations and management, and numerous short engagements over another 6 years as Senior Manager including Kumasi, Twifo Praso, Bolgatanga, Tamale. Worked for Taylor Woodrow International, Taylor Woodrow Ghana, Taysec and Ghana Development Corporation.

 

Experienced and Very comfortable in start-up & EMEA environments.

 

Roles included:

• Construction plant and transport fleet maintenance and management
• Setting up green-field operations including
• recruitment and staff management (100+)
• stores, warehousing, fuel supplies
• customs clearance of multi £M equipment and materials
• Equipment fleet commissioning & operational start-up
• negotiations with local security forces, authorities and unions
• IT installations including LANs, email, satellite communications
• Managed timber harvesting operations
• Managed quarrying operations
• Process definition, implementation, management and continuous improvement
